Impact
We built this product from 0 → 1 and as a result we get
✨ 500+ candidates onboarded in first recruitment cycle
✨ Unified 5+ scattered tools into one platform
✨ Zero missed applications due to clear tracking and notifications
✨ One-click candidate profiles replaced interview-day chaos
Project Statement
GDG On Campus JSS recruitment was fragmented across 5+ disconnected tools - Instagram, Google Forms, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and external platforms. This created 25% candidate drop-off from missed deadlines and zero application transparency, while recruiters spent 40% of their time on manual coordination instead of evaluating talent. The result: talented students eliminated by poor tooling, not merit.
Discovery & Research
As part of the GDG JSS recruiting team, I experienced the chaos firsthand. To validate these weren't isolated issues, I conducted:
✨ 5 recruiter interviews with team members across roles
✨ 30+ candidate surveys from previous recruitment cycles
✨ Workflow mapping of all 5+ tools currently in use
85% of candidates couldn't answer: "Where am I in the application process?"
The top frustration wasn't rejection - it was uncertainty.
Recruiters spent 40% of their time on tasks a computer should handle: copying links, sending reminder emails, manually tracking who submitted what.
Trust was broken. Cheating concerns made recruiters second-guess every remote assessment, but they had no tools to prevent it.
